CEO Coaching
CEO Coaching for Early-Stage Founders
The hardest part of scaling a company isn't the product, the market, or the fundraise. It's the psychological transformation required to go from founder to CEO. That's where I come in.
What Is CEO Coaching?
CEO coaching is a structured, one-on-one relationship between a founder-CEO and an experienced coach who has been in the arena. Unlike consulting — where someone tells you what to do — coaching helps you develop the internal capabilities to figure it out yourself.
The best CEOs aren't the ones with all the answers. They're the ones who ask the right questions, make decisions with incomplete information, and lead through uncertainty without losing their team's trust.
CEO coaching accelerates that development. It gives you a thinking partner who challenges your assumptions, holds you accountable, and helps you see the blind spots that no one else in your organization will point out.
Who Needs CEO Coaching?
If you built a product people want, hired your first team members, and started generating real revenue — congratulations. You've earned the hardest job in business: being the CEO of a growing company.
The skills that got you here — technical expertise, scrappy resourcefulness, doing everything yourself — are the exact skills that will hold you back at the next stage. The founder-to-CEO transition is a psychological shift, not just an operational one.
The Inner CEO Framework
Most coaching focuses on tactics — sales playbooks, hiring frameworks, financial models. Those matter, but they're the outer game. My approach starts with the inner game: the psychology of leadership.
Mindset
Your mental models determine your decisions. We identify the beliefs that limit you and replace them with frameworks that scale.
Emotional Resilience
Startup leadership is emotionally brutal. We build the self-regulation and processing skills that prevent burnout and poor decisions.
Decision Architecture
How you make decisions under pressure defines your company's trajectory. We develop repeatable frameworks for high-stakes choices.
Once the inner work is solid, the outer game — strategy, execution, team building — falls into place much faster. This is what separates founders who plateau from founders who scale.
What to Expect
Coaching sessions are 60 minutes, held weekly or biweekly via Google Meet. Between sessions, you have direct access via text and email for real-time support when decisions can't wait.
There's no rigid curriculum. Each engagement is tailored to where you are and what you're facing. That said, here are the topics that come up most often:
What Clients Achieve
Over 25 years coaching founders and scaling 6 startups (4 with successful exits), here's what the transformation looks like.
Clarity Under Pressure
Make high-stakes decisions with confidence, even when the data is incomplete and the clock is ticking.
Emotional Resilience
Navigate investor pressure, team conflict, and personal doubt without burning out or losing focus.
Leadership Identity
Shift from doing the work to leading the people who do the work — without losing what made you successful.
Strategic Thinking
Move beyond reactive firefighting to proactive, second-order thinking that compounds over time.
Scaling Confidence
Build the hiring instincts, delegation frameworks, and communication skills to grow from 5 to 50+ people.
Accountability & Momentum
Weekly touchpoints that keep you honest, focused, and moving toward the goals that actually matter.
